Horror Game Awards are a part of Feardemic's Fear Fest, the two-day online horror event that showcases upcoming horror games and celebrates the best horror games of the past year. The event is organized by horror games publisher Feardemic in partnership with IGN.

Feardemic's Fear Fest and Horror Game Awards are going to take place on September 6 and 7, 2023, and will be available to watch live exclusively on IGN's YouTube and Twitch channels starting at 11 am Pacific / 2 pm Eastern / 7 pm UK time.

The event will feature two main segments: Fear Fest: Black Summer and the Horror Game Awards. Fear Fest: Black Summer is a three-hour showcase of 30+ horror games coming from publishers such as THQ Nordic, Bloober Team, Raw Fury, and more. It will also include world premiere trailers, developer interviews, special guest appearances, and content creator reactions. The Horror Game Awards is a ceremony that honors the best horror games of the past year across 13 different categories + 1 special lifetime achievement award. The winners will receive a golden bat trophy and will be chosen by you - the gaming community through online voting. The event will feature exclusive announcements from Feardemic and other horror game developers.

You can participate in the event by watching it live on IGN's YouTube and Twitch channels and typing in chat (or catch up later by watching the VOD). You can also vote for your favorite horror games in the Horror Game Awards when the voting opens on July 20th. You can also follow Feardemic on Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram to stay updated and discover the Fear Fest line-up together with the community.

The deadline for voting in Horror Game Awards 2023 is August 3rd but don’t wait until the last day!

No. All games nominated in the HGA are compiled by a panel of experts and are not open for submissions. If you have upcoming games please submit them for consideration in The Black Summer event (https://fearfest.online).
